Karter what you’re asking for is perfectly consistent enforcement of the rules, which is what these dudes do strive for but is effing impossible on the internet. So many people say soooooooo much shit that they would absolutely never stand behind in real life that if you tried to evenly enforce the rules you would wind up nazi-izing the site so badly that it would shut down in a month. You’ve got to balance letting people say what they will with picking up on trends cracking down on the real douche bags that actually harm the e-community.

So yeah, like they said, if you see something that really does deserve action in your eyes then hit the report post button. It just sends an email to all the mods that reads “XXX has reported this post _link_” so then mods can take a look and decide if it warrants an infraction or a mean PM or something.

I think what it means is you’ll get an infraction OR a mean PM from a mod.

lol we def can’t / dont read PMs. I’ll bet the admins can but us lowly mods cannot.
