# unreadable VIN

The vin on my dash is beaten up and you cant read the numbers very well. The stamp on the fire wall and the sticker on the door still match. Is there a way of getting a replacement or getting a reprint?

Why? Just get the RCMP to register it. I think that’s how it works

Usually if the door plaque and the firewall VIN’s match, you should be alright.

Heh, I actually put a peice of electrical tape over my VIN, but thats when it was easy to put a loan on a car by only having the VIN.
