# UPDATE! Oil light Coming on

spray it off with brake clean real good, start it up and watch…

It was the sender. Easy Fix. Thanks everyone for the posts. I had them change the oil as well and what was really weird was the oil was like water, but no coolant or gas. Really strange, but its changed and all it well. Thanks again.

Glad to hear it was an easy fix :tup:

Muck: All you have to do is unplug the sender while the car is running to see if oil is coming out of it, indicating a crack in it.

it is too isnt’ it? Chryslers are usually pretty bad about this. My gm one just dripped a little.

Why wouldn’t it leak when pluged in? Maybe your sender is different than mine.

it was leaking when it was plugged in and i wasnt say it was spraying oil everywhere just every time i stop there would be like a 4 inch diameter oil spotch on the ground, nothing major, it was just the light that really freaked me out. Let it just make it through winter and i will selling it so.

it will. but it’s easier to spot the leak when it’s unplugged. the flickering oil pressure light is the telltale sign of this issue.
