and i honestly have no desire to fix it. broken tranny = less gas used = more money for me and less miles on the car too.

i had the selector shaft out today and it doesnt appear to be damaged, but with the cables off the tranny the shifter moves fine, reverse pops like it should. i did the adjustment procedures where you lock the selector shaft, lock the cables, and lock the shifter into 1-2 neutral, it all lined up. then i did the selector shaft free movement and its notchy up and down when it should move smoothly, so im thinking either the shaft is damaged and i cant visibly tell the difference without having a non suspect item around, or the selection fork or a pin is bent… hopefully its just the selector shaft since its easy and not too pricey… if its infact interal, im just gonna wait and start piecing a 6 speed swap together, and sell my diff out of this one… oh well… gotta pay to play.

i can get a full 6 speed swap right now for 1200, plus a clutch/flywheel and diff… so realisitcally, its about 2800$

until then, i just let it sit there. i can drive it, but its not easy to get gears… im gonna price out the selector shaft tomorrow.

Be careful drivin it around, may do more damage. I had 2nd go in my car and continued to drive to and from work easily, and had 3rd go out on me 2 days later.

haha nice, before i put the good motor in the 94 i was comin home from the lot and turned left onto chysler, got on the gas and top of 1st gear hear a LOUD bang followed by much rattling. I pull the car over and see about 300ft of fluid following up to the car, look underneath and the timing chain is hanging lol. Pulled the motor apart and the crank was in 2 pieces, two twisted rods, one piston still isnt accounted for plus alot of other shit. Worst part of the night was when some tool drove by in a old ass accord and yelled “should have bought a chevy!” I still need to find that fucker lmfao

yeah ive got 2 cars, so i have no reason to drive it, and i wont, thats why i didnt run anymore last night. it drives fine though, no noise, and its hit or miss with the shifting… im hoping just selector shaft. because it went into gear fine at the track, 2nd, and 3rd, no grinding, and i clutch and lift every time i shift… so its a mystery
