# Urgent: Parking Ticket Question

I searched for this already, couldn’t find an answer.

I live in the city, I got a ticket for alternate parking. As I was attempting to pay the ticket online today, I noticed that for my registration on the ticket, they wrote that it expires 9/23/2002, which is incorrect, it’s 9/23/2009. Now does this void the ticket because it’s invalid information, or do I still have to pay it? Who do I speak with about this?

I believe if they screwed up at all the ticket is void. Go to city hall to pay it and see what they have to say. I got a ticket for an overdue inspection on the jetta and when i went to pay it the clerk told me the ticket was void because the officer crossed out the date and never initialed it so the ticket seemed to be “tampered with” at that point they have to void it. Just my $0.02.
