lol, that’s alot of effort for a 1-2 time use.

Well, if you do sell/toss, let me know. I’ll turn it into a tow-behind trailer

Meh. I just got the urge to build something goofy and absurd, that chicks just don’t understand. Like modding a Cavalier.

Er, I mean, um…

Haha sorry, couldn’t resist! :highfive:

> What, you think the cavemen stopped grilling meat for the winter? You think a little case of frostbite kept Genghis Khan from firing up the propane and grilling up some primo yak flesh? I don’t know about you, but my craving for flame-scorched, fire-singed, smoke-riddled meat doesn’t hibernate for the season. I aim to just keep grilling and grilling and grilling until the swallows return to Capistrano. And then I’ll grill them and eat them, too.
> How will I know when my swallow meat is done? The Acu-Rite Wireless Digital Cooking and Barbeque Thermometer. Like a tiny, heat-resistant sous chef, it keeps me apprised of the temperature of my foods and/or how long they’ve been cooking. And thanks to the alarms on the main unit and the wireless pager, I don’t need to open the grill or oven to find out if my meat is done, losing precious, precious heat in the process. I’m not paying to grill the whole backyard, am I right?
> Although that would probably taste pretty awesome, as long as you heat the zoysia to just the right temperature. Sounds like a job for the Acu-Rite Wireless Digital Cooking and Barbeque Thermometer.

First you leave BB. Next I hear this. What’s next? You’re going vegan? Stopping drinking?

For this, I am ashame of you. Sterling will probably take it.

Well leaving BB is actually more like giving up vegetables. But abandoning Das Ubersmoker is definitely a failure of manhood.

I hope you guys want this shit soon. I may be spending my weekend cleaning out the house to put it up for sale. Do any of you guys have a pickup or a trailer? The tank ain’t fitting in an SUV. If you’ve got access to a trailer I’ll do the towing and deliver it, otherwise $20 bucks will get you a trailer from Uhaul.

fry if you are looking for room to put this somewhere(and a full size truck to move it), i have the room and you are welcome to continue your “experiment” here. we could even empty my full beer fridge while smoking. bonus -i’ m close to sheridan/transit so its not too far to start it in the morning, leave, then return in afternoon to finish.

That’s a really nice offer Pauly, but I just don’t have time. Between normal stuff and school, and now maybe putting my house up for sale this fall, building a giant effing smoker is just not a luxury I have time for.

Unless someone wants to pick everything stuff up this weekend I’m going to drag the oil tank to the curb on Sunday for someone to scrap and keep the barrel for a big workshop trash can for myself.

Sweet. It’s yours. As long as you’re cool with cooking on zinc plated mesh (I’m still not sure of that) I’ve got all the supplies. I’ve got plenty of wood to fuel this bad boy too.
