The wife and I are looking at bikes she would be comfortable riding, and that I could use for commuting to work to save some gas. Anyone have any positives/negatives about the Yamaha V-star 250? ---

i owned a 650 for 3yrs and it was never a dog to do anything.😕 had plenty of power, just dont expect to run low 9’s in the 1/4. ---

I have a Suzuki 650 vtwin in my bike and it scoots pretty good. ---

around town itd be fine (single rider), great on gas, cheap to insure, and fun (which may wear out shortly thereafter if you planning on going fast on it) top speed will be near the 100 mark, they weigh nothing and are easy to learn on. Not to mention resale will be close to what you paid for it… i dont see a problem in one. Unless you plan on doing long distance rides with it, especially on the highway. IT WILL BE PRETTY SLOW THOUGH. ---

i have a vstar650 and i love it and the 250s are suppose to be great on gas
