I need to get one of these for the bike, not that I speed, but it’d be nice.

:word: i have mine setup the same way on the DD. I find myself putting it up less and less. Something about a 4 door wagon doesn’t want to make me speed.

How do you have it hooked up on your bike. I feel like the sensor wouldnt “see” through the windscreen.

I have my V1 hardwired right above my rearview mirror in my S4. I love it but have always thought about the remote display for a better view of it. How do you hook up the remote display? Do you have to just run a cord to the detector from the display?

Sold my concealed and too lazy to buy another. The V1 is hardwired and mounted next to rearview. X band is turned off and K and KA sensitivity are turned up. No light show = no need for concealed.

edit - that EK make enough dubya age pee too warrant a V1??? :snky:

Ugh, this sounds like a project that will keep me from working on the BMW…

WTB: V1 remote display…

Mine is ancient though (circa 2004), i wonder if i should get it updated…

Mine is tucked under the windscreen and jammed in there with velcro, it can “see” just fine through my puig double bubble, No need for a concealed display on it either lol.

the concealed display connects into a 2-1 junction box that goes from a power source to the unit and also to the display (for the poster that asked how it works)

I think most people don’t speed on a constant basis, but to not have the v1 on when you have one is like walking around naked…it just don’t feel right boi.

And yeah man the EK almost makes 3 digit WHP numbers, that enough to break 35mph right?

The concealed display is easy, they send u another cord, just plug it in according to the directions, and ur good to go, main unit stays dark…sound still comes from the main unit tho.

type in ur serial # on the v1 site, if it needs an update, it will tell you.

their turnaround is fast as hell.

one time mine was malfunctioning and i sent a money order (out of warranty) to them on like Mon, it was back Fri, fixed, and the money order was sent back lol

Where do you actually mount the detector then?
I mean, the two radar detectors on the v1 need a 360\* view of outside the car…

I mounted my remote in front of my gauge cluster - to keep it in my line-of-sight, rather than the guy behind me… I’ll post a pic of it when I get home.

And I’m debating about upgrading - mine’s an old 1.7
