I guess everyone in Vancouver is considering lowering their fire/theft deductible from $1000! And I bet all of the insurance companies just raised rates on EVERYONE there!

there is only one insurance company, ICBC. It is state-run.

Canada has 3 provinces that have state-run insurance. In addition to BC; Manitoba and Saskatchewan also insure 99% of their citizens. You can top-up with additional coverage from private insurers in some cases but relatively few people do that.

If the owner of that M5 was a dude who was swinging at people, the car wouldn’t have been the only thing that was severely damaged.

Yah if I was unarmed I would not take on a riot. Though I would think about just driving my M5 through all those assholes.
