# video game wont run

i picked up fear yesterday, installed it, and everytime i try to play it it crashes and the microsoft window pops up that says ‘‘this program has encountered an error and needs to close.’’ i uninstalled and reinstalled it, same problem. i can run call of duty 2 and other games just fine.

it cant handle the sweetness of fear…you can try and DL it from somewhere else. or turn down the settings

burned copies will cause that error…check for updates. other then that u might be screwed.

its a brand new copy, i had just taken it out of the box. i cant turn down the settings because the instant it starts to load it crashes.

Word. It takes an insane system and a little more to play full tilt. Great fun though.

i got it running, had to change some options in msconfig.
computer is asus a7n8xe deluxe, amd 2800+, radeon 9200, 1 gig pc2700 ram, got some upgrades coming up though.

Check their website for any updates. I’ve heard of issues with the copy-protection causing issues. Also if you are running any program like daemon tools (Or any cd-drive emulator) turn it off. See if that solves the problem.
