Plastidip it first… on OG paint, that just sounds like the right thing to do… Unless like you said in the original post, you want something done. …sounds like a girl that wants a tattoo… “IDC just give me symbols on my foot.” ---

plastidip is…an idea. im leaning towards gloss now though which kind of rules it out. vinyl just gives you a smoother nicer finish and will hold up to the elements a little more plastidip is on my kidney grills, it has held up through winters, but its too soft…and its a LOT different than doing a giant smooth roof ---

Everyones favorite bmw owner nick pearl does this… he made me a very nice 30"x40" german eagle crest… and i know he has wrapped 3 or 4 roofs in that 3d carbon fiber. I think its 716 designs or something like that ---

^^ lol believe me its def vynal 3d carbon fiber, i saw the bulk sheets of it. I saw his car at the darien lake fathers day car show and thought it was plastidiped. it wasnt, just a super orange peeled paint job haha ---

Just a fyi ---

Id stay away from plastidip. The po of my bike painted the whole bike with Pd. Doesn’t look bad but Sucks up dirt like a vacuum. ---

My only advice is to spray, pull, stick, and squeegee in “Small” sections (roughly 8" x 10") at a time to make sure it is nice and flat. Don’t pull the backing and try to stick it at once (I’m sure you are smarter than that but I don’t know if you have done any vinyl work before).
