Unless you write installation software that requires knowledge of the platform/os/bitlevel/proc-ID/architecture, it probably wouldn’t affect you.

As it stands, that is a good chunk of what I (am supposed to) do at work 😃

There may be some games that check that environment variable, but I doubt they’d have to see the PROCESSOR\_IDENTIFIER…probably just knowing the PROCESSOR\_ARCHITECTURE for most of them would be sufficient.
