# voltage drop?

im seeing a voltage drop when comming to a stop. 14v to 12v. is this normal? if not what can cause this? bad grounds? i have also noticed my headlights dimming when i press the brake pedal.

sounds like your alternator is starting to crap out.

it will progressively get worse.

does the car sputter at all? one sign of a dying alternator is sputtering (not enough juice to charge the coils)

More importantly, Does it only happen when ur on the breaks.

- like from a stand still doesn the voltage drop to 12
- is this only when driving? is it constent  
could be something as simple as an idle issue

i went thru this as well ended up being a vac leak and + a bad ground.
