Im looking into becoming a volunteer firefighter, is there anyone on here that is one that can lead me into the direction of what I gotta do?

it takes alot of time, I belonged to Ellicott Creek for 20 years.
meetings once a month, drills every weekend, squad calls that you have to responde to during certain hours.
my point is make sure you are aware of the reqiurments before joining. These may be different from company to company.

figure out what fire department you are located near, and give them a call. Either talk to the chief or whoever is in charge of the membership committee and they’ll get you started. I’m warning you now, the time from application to actually getting into it takes a couple months. most FDs take their sweet old time getting new members in.
