The slow-selling rich people’s car landed on US shores with a resounding thud, as buyers didn’t know what to make of them and only select dealers could sell them. Now, VW spokesman Andreas Meurer revealed to Bloomberg News that the company plans to reintroduce its hard-luck sedan “when the next version goes on sale”, which more than likely means the next-generation Phaeton and not the 2008 refresh shown at Geneva.
