Tough Poll… 1. He wears a strap and gets money/fame from advertisers, won’t die 2. Doesn’t wear a strap, potential to fall to his death, lose out on money, possibly cancel the whole thing. ---

The question of should he use a tether is a bad way to phrase the poll. Since it doesn’t seem that much of an “argument” if he has to use a tether… The majority of this argument is around whether him walking with a tether is less interesting/badass/dare devil-ish. The poll should be focused around the argument. Of course he “Shouldn’t” wear a tether, but the fact that he has no choice takes away from that being an argument. So the poll should read more like “Does him wearing a tether make this that much less cool/badass/dare devil-ish?” - this still doesn’t capture the argument properly. I think if he falls, he should be executed in private… 😛 But, seriously… It takes a huge set to do this and it takes a bunch of skill to do it too, harness or not. If he does in fact fall then we can all say he sucks and deserves to die etc, blah blah blah… But if he doesn’t fall with a harness on then he doesn’t fall without one. Right? (Mentally its not the same for the performer, I understand… This isn’t a perfect world). ---

So would it not be a daredevil stunt in a car if it had a full roll cage and the driver wore all sorts of safety gear? ---

Ok, NYSpeed bbq…zip line 40’ high, safety backup strap if you wish…no line / equipment test with a guess at line size for strength. Sounds dangerous enough. Oh, and someone can spray a pressure washer at people for mist. ---

You can still die in that situation. they take some of the risk out, but not all of it. Wearing a harness makes this nearly 100% risk free unless somehow as he falls his neck wraps in the lanyard and gets snapped which I do not think is possible. ---
