My interest in this guy seems directly related to the distance from me that he’s performing. I watched the Falls one live on TV while this one I knew was on but didn’t bother.

I missed it, but caught a little on the news about him saying the wind was worse than he thought.

Anyone who thinks he prayed too much has never been 1500 feet in the air with no net or safety harness and wind hitting them like a dump truck while balancing on a swinging 2 inch steel cable. God was the only one out there with him in my opinion and I think the guy has big brass ones. When he had to kneel down I honestly thought we were going to watch him fall off. I was freaking out.

I’m shocked God and/or Jesus didn’t toss him off the wire for disrupting their evening so many times. I mean seriously dude, take a number and get in line…we all have prayers to be answered.

> If you ask me, Felix Baumgartner still takes the cake as the craziest mofo to attempt a stunt.

Not to be an ass or anything, but explain to me the difficulty of Baumgartner’s stunt. He stepped off of an insanely high balloon and free-fell for quite some time, and then straightened out his fall and pulled his ripcord. I’m not saying it’s easy, but EXPLAIN to me just how difficult it is, or exactly what could go wrong. NEWMAN please chime in on this.

Every single step of Wallenda’s walk needed to be perfect. Absolutely no room for error. Just 100% intense concentration for 23 straight minutes. I couldn’t even imagine that guys level of focus.

Actually, it’s 5 football fields

I would rather jump. You realize that when he reached maximum speed, he didn’t really feel it. He didn’t feel anything until he started to reach the “thicker” atmosphere. He was practically in space when he hit his highest velocity. Then as he entered the normal atmosphere the wind resistance slowed him down. That was the dangerous part. He had an astronaut suit on and a parachute. Wallenda had socks and jeans.

People who bag on the guy for the religious stuff need to fist themselves. That high in the air on a wire, I don’t care what divine power he asks for help.

I wouldn’t need anyone’s assistance…CAUSE IT WOULD NEVER FUCKING HAPPEN !! You could tie me to a train on the other side and you still wouldn’t get my ass on that wire.
