LoL yeah I could keep dreaming about picking up a type r NSX for a silly amount of $1k šŸ˜‰ or pick one up for what their going for which is lower than usual. Either way this temporary set back in Quebec would be a benefitial time for anyone who had plans on purchasing a jdm vehicle. But it would be really interesting if our Toronto streets became flooded with rhd vehicles. ---

stop making this more then what it is. There is no way the government will go through with this after 180 days. Even then cars wont be sold at liquidation until its done. ---

What? ^ More than what it is? It may jus be a test period but the fact the province has gone with a 6 month ban on this is just the first step to an ontario ban, or worse yet a nation wide banā€¦Its been talked about for a couple years now and looks like it may just happenā€¦ ---

im really surprised they havent come down harder on grey market RHD imports. seriously, itā€™s affecting alot of differents parts of the industry, many of which have reasonably strong lobby groups who are politicing to restrict these imports. the engine rebuilders association is getting butt raped by grey market honda & toyota motors coming inā€¦ and all the brown and asian fobs all over the GTA are able to keep their rotted to shit 1992 Tercelā€™s and 4 door civic wagons on the road with a $500 motor and a hot safety instead of buying new or lightly used cars. the thousands of rhd vehicles being imported are the scrap from other nations being dumped on the Canadian market and causing irrepairable damage to all kinds of secondary vehicle outlets that the primaries rely on to liquidate low end stockā€¦ itā€™s terrible for the Canadian auto sector in every single way and the fact that itā€™s been going on so long is a testiment to how poorly run the Canadian government is. They should have known it was going to happen several years go. However, guys like us are the beneficiaries being that we love the cheap, fast JDM carsā€¦ so we donā€™t see it for what impact it really has. ---

haymaker, no one will be unloading their cars for next to nothing those that are already plated may still be safe thus the value would go up if anything the ones this really affects negatively is those who had vehicles on route or just ordered one. they are the ones who got screwed big time. and i truly hope quebec importers dont start unloasding all their unsellable inventory on provinces like ontario. A LOT of quebec importers are sketchy and bring it shit heaps that drag down the values of well kept rhdā€™s. ---

you know whats funny, this law is going to have to change or Canada will have to change there own vehiclesā€¦ there is alot of postal trucks and street sweepers and so on that ARE RHDā€¦ it will be cheaper for Canada to just drop this law in timeā€¦ just my take on it ---
