I assume your talking about selling new inventory vehicles. Not to try and argue, but there is no way they aren’t making bank on used vehicle sales like everybody else.

Yea dude. F&I guys get money from extended warranties they sell, the financing itself, the paint protection and interior packages, etc…
I know at one local dealership, their F&I Manager made $30k… Last month.

A majority of the cars we sell are new. Hence our new inventory vs. used. You’d be surprised at how little some make on used cars. Especially if they’re CPO. We also give A LOT for trade ins. I’ve sold a couple used cars that were what we call “minis”, as in minimum commission.

i see this should be true since you know things about cars that a normal salesman would have no idea what he is talking about. me personally would rather buy a car from someone who knows what the fuck they are talking about when trying to sell the car. its just annoying when you got some dope telling the wrong things about a car.
so +1 for you man. maybe when my mom finally wants to get her new car i can have her go see you.

Pretty much. It amazes a lot of people when a sales guy knows more than what anyone can read in the booklet they give out.
I won’t tell your mom you’re making out in the deal either!

this. if I’m talking to a salesman I’m buying, unless they are the annoying type that sprints out of the building the minute you reach for your door handle. God I hate that.
