Lok up some of the heads of CIT at UB. Big $$$$$ Also, they have a 45 day hiring and spending freeze now at UB. So basically no purchases unless justified over $5000.00 So in 45 days the floodgates open and they buy more product at once. Not going to help the situation. I still don’t see the justification for some of the salaries that some people are getting. ---

yea, CIO pulling in almost 200k, he’s a good guy though have known him through family friends for quite a while. All though 200K to run a network and all supporting systems of that size is peanuts, IMO. btw - my mother is an employee at ub and she is NOT happy about this at all… I understand the mentality of we should know where our tax dollars go, but UB is not fully funded by any means by the state like other “state jobs”. The bulk of UB’s money comes from research and other fund raising (donations)… state troopers, corrections and the like are probably 100% NYS taxes. While i find it interesting, i think it is bullshit that they are not using salary ranges for positions. Singling people out has got to make this such a shit storm and further making employees of the state even less motivated to actually do anything. ---
