My test is tonight at 7pm at Canadian Tire. :noes: Here’s my checklist: - Running Sunoco 94 OCT (1/2 tank) - I’ve put about 40KM on motor last night (a few hard +ve boost runs). - Magnaflow cat (will make sure to warm it up nicely before test) - Baffled muffler (Flowmaster) - No leaks on exhaust - Not sure on my A/F ratio. Might be a bit lean. - Plan to mention to the tester to put the car in “HOT ROD” category. - Hope I get a kid who doesn’t know much to do my test. 🤣 Things I haven’t done: - Replaced plugs since getting motor - Replaced O2 since getting motor Wish me luck. ---

are you running full emissions equipment? the EGR or whatever?? i ran RACE fuel, mixed with 94 octane SAFC leaned out for all points where the test occured hot road category leaky exhuast (this is BETTER because it doesnt reach the probe) 2.5" cat fresh at the time i still went 10 times over the limit no EGR u want good advice? cancel the appointment and get a hot one. get me on msn. ---

unless all your emissions crap (EGR, charcoal canister, AIV) is intact you don’t stand a chance in hell of passing… especially at CT. and why start a thread about this? it’s been discussed in the FAQ/How-to section… and i know you know that, but i guess you feel special. :roll: ---

Ed told me there’s no EGR on the SR :squint: Charcoal canister was taken out…all it does it burn fuel vapour. :dunno: ---

I’ve heard cases where if the car is too low to “safely” get it on the dyno, they do a 2 stage idle test (like what they do with 4WD cars)… this is mostly at the Canadian Tire near my house though, at which my friend works… who is lazy. Or you can just tell them its 4WD. 😛 ---

G, if u have no EGR you HAVE to cancel your appointment. you will not pass. it wont even be close. even if you run 3214346456 octane gas you still wont come close. i’ve tried it with more control of the AFR than you have and i was still 10x over the limit. save your $40. get a hot one. ---

thats BS…i passed twice with my car…no egr, big manifold, big turbo outlet, big FMIC… as long as ure cat is good, and ure o2 is good and ure motors running well u will have no problem passing… ---

my O2 was fine, my cat was brand new, engine still runs well… 10 times over the limit on all numbers… maybe we are buying our engines from the wrong place? where did u get yours Varun? ---
