:lol: exactly. they didnt know of technology or science (for the most part). obviously many things can be explained by science in the bible, they were just never written in because im sure people could not explain what was going on because they had no knowledge of how.

If by “made up” you mean developed as a theory and PROVEN with science, then yes, you are correct.

95, you should have known coming into this thread that you will not change their minds, and they will not change yours. You have shown that you are someone to talk to if anyone on hur wishes to talk about God in a more serious manner, other than arguing. I stay out of threads like this unless straight up provoked.
Let everyone believe what they want, and let us believe what we want. Once we all die, we’ll find out whos right. Untill then, this debate is a waste of energy.
For those of you interested, check out the creationism museum. Its real life scientists (yes, that even use those PROVEN formulas) and prove how creationism, the flood, etc could have happened from a scientific viewpoint.

It’s not a matter of convincing beliefs anymore though. The principles and theories that built the world around you are being disagreed with. I don’t give a fuck what god someone believes in, or if you think that Allah reincarnated as a pimple on your brother’s girlfriend’s cousin’s left testicle. When you argue against the things that are fundamental in this world, and are the foundation of of our technological society, you are just giving up faith in humanity if you ask me.
EDIT - I edited the above so not to bash anyone. This thread is fun. I’ll try not to insult anyone directly for the sake of real conversation.

I’m really impressed with how civil and reasonable this has gone. This usually would have turned into a shit fest faster than evolve on a G&T.

how the hell was a formula for decomposition of Carbon-14 made up? it is an observed rate
Unless you are basis your argument on the unit of time is a made up number which is a slightly more valid argument that the decomposition of an atom

But then you can argue how much of the original sample there was, or if it got mixed with any other C14 in its existance creating a false reading. The method itself works, but assumptions are made to believe the results that one gets
