And I’m a little curious how it’s “death defying” when the guy is clearly wearing a safety harness and is secured to a 2nd high wire?

Ok, I’ll give the guy a lot more credit now. Fucking nanny state NY mandated the safety harness.

I actually have a smaller-scale building to building slackline walk plan in the works. However, it’ll only be about 50 feet off the ground and 50 feet long and I will DEF wear a safety harness.

A look at tightrope walker Philippe Petit’s daring, but illegal, high-wire routine performed between New York City’s World Trade Center’s twin towers in 1974, what some consider, “the artistic crime of the century.”

He might as well climb the latter down, walk across the middle and climb the other side. People should have been able to shoot stuff at him or something.

Reminds me of a Roger Sterling quote, for those of you who watch Mad Men.

“Yetta Wahlenda sized mis-step. The girl. The tightrope walker. They got her off of the sidewalk with a hose last week.”

Not doing it wrong… He’s doing it in 70’s style.
Somehow it’s now only PG-13
