# Water Powered Cars... why not?

Gasoline is not mined or pumped either.
It is processed/refined using other energy as well.
So it is really no different except that over time we have found efficient ways to convert oil to gas.

And to stem off of this–a fuel cell is a lot more energy efficient than IC…

Thanks for putting words in my mouth.
All I was saying was the FCX is a pretty stupid vehicle choice TODAY because we don’t have an efficient way of getting the hydrogen to power it. The choice is even worse if people make it based on the advertising of “it’s completely green and gives off nothing but clean water” while ignoring the the fact that they hyrdogen had to come from SOMEWHERE.
Lets put some money into this:

Then fuel cell cars suddenly start making sense.
