Wow your bringing back some memories. My old man had a Tandy and i was like wtf is that thing for. He would try to explain about how it was going to revelotuionize the world and i was like no way. Back then my mom would yell for us to come in the house. These days i find myself yelling at my kids to get out of the house LOL. Any of you guys remember Remember Amherst BMX. It was a huge BMX track on transit by clarence center rd. (behind where noco/carwash is), actually right on the corner was Chucks Karts (go cart joint). I spent the summers of 82/83 (yeah i’m old) as a mongoose Factory Flyer. There was BMX tracks everywhere in WNY. Of course this was back when all The Bike manufacturers were in southern calif. The only competitive offshore manufacturer was Kuwahara and they were only popular because they supplied the BMX bikes for the movie “ET”. They held local try outs to be in the movie (unfortunately I was in Indy for a national event the same day). wow the memories.

When I was in young everybody went outside and played after school. They didn’t sit inside and text message each other.
Online chatting was so new, nobody did it except when it was too dark to play street hockey.
There was less than a handful of obese kids in high school.
93 octane was 1.10/gallon.

Turning off all my phone ringers in my house so my buddy could connect to my computer via dialup to play Doom deathmatch. Then even better, Buffalo Doom Server (a service which cost about 15 a month) for locals to hook up to play together. I recall saying “Holy shit, this is absolutely insane. There are 7 other people online that I’m playing against all in the same room. And I heard that they will soon be able to support a 16 player server in the near future” Everyone was sooooooooo amazed.
