hey whatever works…their are many ways to make faster cars…and thats one of them
I wish I could have only dumped $5K to make a low 13 second car…damn. I paid 10K just for my car alone Bone stock in 04’…dont even wanna start talking about how much money I got into it…I could be driving around in a used, paid off C5.
My buddy bought a Mint condition, 87 RX-7 last fall. This spring…hes doing a motor swap in it. A camaro 3.8 motor…and then Im building him a rear mount turbo setup for it…should be a pretty bad ass car…The whole project after its said and done including the turbo setup is prolly gonna run him about 7K including buying the car for 2900.00

a carbed 350 is a much tighter fit in it…and it weighs alot more then as 3.8…the 3.8, weighs nearly the same as his 13B rotary motor believe it or not…plus he wants to do something different…he wants to put a cammed 3.8 in there.

I have a hard time believing that too.
From what I’ve seen the weight dif is about 150lbs. 13B is 242lbs and the L36 V6 camaro engine is 392lbs
rotary engines are known for their compact size and light weight. No way is a V6 or even a V8 lighter than they are.

i meant longblock as in heads AND the bottom end, the bottom end being a shortblock…
i don’t think the 13b has ‘heads’ per say, so the longblock really is just a little 1 cubic foot clump of metal with spinny stuff inside :rofl
