Any car can be lame and (almost) any car can be cool. It’s all in your personal preference. As long as you choose and build your car for yourself, and not for other people to think is cool, you’re golden. Just brush off the haters because no matter what you own, there’s always someone who will think its lame. Personally I love Hondas. They are cheap to build, simple and fun to work on, and their suspension lends well to tuning. No, they aren’t the most amazing cars ever made, and they can’t be the jack of all trades. But they are easy to have fun with and they take a beating. Love them or hate them, Hondas are a good bang for your buck. I’m probably not going to be super into Hondas forever, but once I move onto bigger and better things I’ll never hate on them because Ive had plenty of fun in them. Again it all comes down to personal preference. To each their own. ---

Brand loyalists always seem really douchey. People that think all fbodies are sweet. People that think all civics are sweet. I evaluate all things on a case by case basis. There are some cool Hondas. There are some cool fbods. I don’t take anyone seriously who proclaims blanket statements like: “I think (insert make or model) are the best/worst.” ---

People who like Honda’s = People who cant afford expensive cars, respect for vehicles, mom and dad didnt buy them their cars. People who hate Honda’s = People who’s parents have bought them everything, ones that have never owned one, bought one with over 200k miles and thought it would be the greatest car ever and it broke down at 250k. People that only hang around with Bro’s and Rich People personally, I think Honda’s are the shit. And not because of owning an s2k, but the fact that they produce some very good quality vehicles, very inexpensive upgrades that can make the car faster and better at handling over these extremely expensive cars that would cost the same stock. To hate on a company that can give you an amazing 1/4 mile time for very cheap and being extremely easy to fix… not sure you really are into the “car scene” then. Edit: Other companies provided inexpensive upgrades for the Honda. \* ---

honda’s were never cool, they were always pure IMO people tried to make them cool, in which case most of the time(save a few people) it ended up being a big fail. i think what honda does for getting people into the tuning/racing scene(autocross, track, drag, motocross) however it may be, you cant deny that they do a whole hell of a lot for the “sport” or whatever you want to call it i’m assuming that this whole thread is directed at civics/accords, because i dont know many people in 1994 that would have thought that this was not cool: ![http://static.cargurus.com/images/site/2008/01/04/10/16/1994_honda_nsx-pic-47973.jpeg](http://static.cargurus.com/images/site/2008/01/04/10/16/1994_honda_nsx-pic-47973.jpeg) unless you were 5, which could be the case here ---

My friends mom actually did own a 95 eg coupe and bought it brand new. I thought it was cool, bc it was stick shift, just like my dads alfa. When you’re 11, stick shift = SPORTS CAR! ---

I still like crxs. And Honda engines in things like atoms. Honda “scene” has a poor reputation just like the VW “scene” does too. I could make a thread titled “Were VWs ever cool?” and get a bunch of people hating on PBR drinking hipster fggts. Even better - “were mazdas ever cool?” and get a people saying the best place for a miata is the front of a gay pride parade and in a hair dresser’s garage. ---
