BS on not allowing them to shift any faster, I watched the vid, and i cant imagine it being humanly possible to manualy shift a car as fast. Sounds just like an automatic. lol But i guess if it helps them feel better about themselves. I guess when i go automatic with a maual valve body ill start making claims that i coulda shifted my manual just as fast, but went this route for consistancy. lol not trying to knock on anyone, since these cars are all blistering fast but thats just a rediculous claim. ---

If you re-read my post…AMS said the shifter in the STM car didn’t allow them to shift faster. It wasn’t STM claiming that. From Eric at AMS (he drives the AMS drag car): “The fact that the car has an automated shifter certainly does not disqualify it. They are just making good use of available technology. In reality it doesn’t really add speed as much as consistancy and repeatability.” A shift cut time of 15-20 milliseconds is average for a standard shifted dogbox. ---

awesome run none the less. i dont think i would have the balls to drive that car that fast. ---
