# What car?!?

Hey guys,  
Im new to this forum. I am in the process of parting my car and am in the market for a new ride!!

I am coming from Mazda, fwd turbo. I do not know if rwd is for me. I was just wondering what I can excpect out of a nissan 240sx. To be honest I do not really like the s14, I like the s13.

How much boost can the sr20 hold without building it up?  
Also how much power and what 1/4mile times around can i be excpecting with a tuned 240 with bolt on’s?  
And finally I do not want a rusted out 240, so roughly how much am I looking at spending to find a clean s13?

honestly most of the answers to your qs depends on differnt things.

you can get a nice 240 for a few grand. maybe 2-4 grand for a well kept one.  
and as far as tuning goes… its almost endless. just depends on you wallet.

on a stock sr20 i wouldnt go over 11lbs of boost. if you get that much boost with a turbo kit, k&n intake, some fuel management you should be able to get over 300hp.

but if you want over 400-600hp, your gonna need forged pistons,crank, etc… youll need to get the engine rebuit with forged parts/seals, bigger turbos, etc…

i think a stock 240 gets 16 seconds 1/4mile.  
so tuned i dont know, depends what your tuning! with a t-kit youll drastically increase the 1/4 mile time, at least by a second.

please dont get a mazda that fwd… that just makes me sad.  
if anything grab a rx7… rotary and rwd is the way to go with mazda.
