First of all, a reaaaaly good rule of thumb is that you cannot afford a mortgage more than double what you make. So if you don’t make 75k stop looking at a $150k house.

Mine was $148k, when I signed the papers I was making $45k. I’m making considerably more now, and I’ve been in the house for a year now, but making the payments and paying for all the bills hasn’t been that tough.

It would have been had I stayed @ $45k a year… but I don’t sit unpromoted for long 😉

My taxes are $3300, and I think I put the VR4 down… and my payments are less than $1300 a month @ 5.875.

How is the basement? Mine is what sold me on the house.
