# What is needed to compete in drift events?

Hey guys,
I searched the boards and couldnt find anything that gave me my answer. so i figuered i would just put it out there and ask. I’d like to know what safety devices do i need to have to compete in drift competitions? ie:rollcage, FIA seat, harnesses? thanks would be a great help.

It depends on the level at which you want to compete.

at the most basic level you need a car that will stay together and you need to respect the other people on the track… that and a helmet.
at the top level, which is DMCC in Canada at present, you do need a full cage among other things. You can download the Formula D rulebook, DMCC is using the same one at this time.

Official PRO AM rulebook will be released shortly and will detail what is needed to compete in amateur drifting events in Canada.

i went to thornhill secondary and thornlea. they both are horrible but thronlea is worse. no damn windows and half the school is underground
