# What is the worst purchase that you've ever made

I paid 2100. After putting 9 hours on it I threw a rod through the crankcase. The rebuild cost me 1500 by the time I was done. I put 10 more hours on it. I seized a crank bearing (my fault). Rebuild cost $600.
I guess I did obtain quite a bit of mechanical knowledge through working on it though…

My second tractor - a 1953 Allis-Chalmers WD45. I bought it at auction for $1700 in the fall of ‘08 because I needed something for snow removal right now. It worked OK, but I think it had a burnt valve(s) and the fuel line liked to freeze half way through plowing the (650’ long) driveway.
It worked out in the end though. In the spring of '09, Java Farm Supply gave me $2000 for it on trade of a one owner 1971 Massey Ferguson 165 which kicks ass. The more I run it, the more I love it. Now I have a front loader and a 7 foot snowblower. Fuck the snow

tons of recording equiptment only to have the business side of the venture fall thru. Never partner with anyone.
I ended up with 10g worth of recording equiptment, that I couldnt sell for 3500$

This is the first I’ve heard of you disliking your car. I think it’s fucking hot as shit.
I’m trying to think of my worst decision. Probably EVERY car I’ve ever bought. Only because I could totally be driving a Ferrari right now if I had just driven an average car for the past 5 years.
