its a holding tank so to say, its an air reserve for when you punch the throttle and dont have good airflow in the intake so it dont choke the motor, you you would never know if it wasnt on there. that was the explanation i got when i asked about it on my first car i put an intake on what is your reason for asking? just curiosity? ---

my reason for asking, actually its funny. when im at a stand still and give it , a good amount of throttle , it hesitates for a second, drops a couple RPMS than goes . ---

It’s just another chamber that nissan threw in there to get that “perfect” sound. They come up with this sound from spending way too many hours doing research with the public with regards to what they think the “perfect” sound is. ---

resonator box … quiets down the intake … not needed .
