# What is your filter.

I agree with both of these statements, however the Pure One may filter more stuff but because of that it also flows worse than the majority of other filters. If you change your oil/filter on a regular basis an inexpensive filter will never be the reason for the demise of an engine.

This guy did a pretty basic unbiased study of different brands: [Best Oil Filters | aCarPlace](http://www.corolland.com/oil-filters.html) Gives a good idea of the physical differences between the brands. You can make your own assumptions as to what properties make a better filter (# of pleats, length of filter material, anti-flow back material, etc.)
