i guess the only other car ide want other than a CTS-V (old or new) would be a C5 theyre relatively cheap, but then ide still need a beat ass winter car 😕 ---

update: Paid 3.89 for 93 yesterday at Sunoco. Not like the GSR takes a ton of gas, but still. Read the day before about the reliability of the Prius, '04 & up. Blown the fuck away. Srrsly. Read all awesome reviews online. Found one in all Wilmington, and it was a mechanic’s actual car. I’m getting an '05 with leather. Don’t care what color it is. Under 40K. As soon as my contract’s signed for next school year, this is the plan. 20K budget. If gas ever comes down, maybe get a TSX, whatever… Insurance significantly cheaper than for my commonly burgled ride. Safe, lots of airbags, lots of room. All the visual appeal of a Maytag. I can hack that. But planning to go back to school, gas prices… gimme something that works. Cost to own over 5yrs is 14K less than the TSX. You sincerely have to search hard to find a bad review on the last 5yrs of Prius. I initially ignored them due to the problems they had 01-03 and left it at that. Amazing fucking car. ---

Amazing fucking car. if you’re looking at a prius, pick up a 4 door yaris sedan. They aren’t that bad looking. Reliable as fuck, kinda fun to drive and cheap! ---

CPO yaris’s can be had for like 13 grand or cheaper for a loaded up one, or you can buy a base model for like 12 with a 5 spd. they get like 38-40 mpg and are dumb reliable. (not much things to go wrong) the prius gets like 5 mpg better but it’s also a lot more costly to buy one. I’m not sure about the new ones…but when the batteries go around 100K miles…it’s REALLY expensive to fix. Plus, the prius sucks in the winter, as if you get them stuck there is NO way to turn the traction control off. If the car senses the wheels slipping it cuts all power. ---

hrm, i think you’re thinking more of the 1g ones that had battery issues. there’s much literature online, personal accounts, etc. - stating that the $3,000 rear batteries are only fuxored in the event of an accident 04+. 180K and no problems seems to be the norm. also, traction control is an option… but likely one that would be present on an '05 with leather… hrm. food for thought. thanks man 🙂 ---
