# What keeps you from killing people? Ethics or consequences?

Slow day on TNC. I’ve been busy, so I guess everyone else is too!
Anyways, I came across a thread of this topic elsewhere, and I’d just like to see how everyone’s opinions are on this topic.
So, **What keeps you from killing people? Ethics or consequences?**
For me, a little of both. I’m not violent, but if there weren’t any consequences, I’m sure I would’ve contemplated _‘deading’_ someone. It would’ve been cool though, not just a ‘standard’ drive-by… more along the lines of: “Opps, the gas pedal is stuck, YOU stay put, I"ll bail!”

ethics for me, i’ve never been at that point where i wished death upon someone. some people piss me off, but i just brush it off. as well as i’m a firm believer that everyone has the right to be here, and noone has the right to invade someone else’s personal space (i.e. randomly punching someone, stealing etc)

mostly ethics, but sometimes i get post the points of ethics because the person i wanna kill broke their ethics first.

Ethics mainly. How can you simply take a life away with no regret? One life affects so many people. That one person has dreams, goals, aspirations, people he/she loves etc. I really don’t understand how these try hard thugs carrying around guns in the city have no regard for the value of life at all. If anybody should get killed, it’s these ‘thug’ assholes who are merely a waste of any social value whatsoever. The only time I would take a life is if someone I love or my own life would be at risk.

ethics for sure…until booze is thrown in then it’s consequence.hahahaha… but to take a life you have to be selfish. or jelous or crazy.
but… if someone was fooling around with your girl and there weren’t any consequence, ethics wouldn’t really stop you from beating him… probably wouldn’t kill him i would just hurt him badly.

I think consequences are the main reasons that most people don’t go out and kill others.
Look at some countries where there aren’t as strict consequences or it’s easier to get away with it, there are a lot more deaths there then there are here.

consequences for sure thats why im going in the army…
if not i let them throw the first punch and i give them a hurting. after that i don really care. but kill somone nah much rather havethem suffer after the beating. last fight i was in was in Florida guy ended up in the hospital for 1 week… he started it and attacked me so i just defended myself… like the cop told him lol was jokes he like ur momma ever tell you not to \*\*\*\* with a Marine … (and friends) lol…
