Anything decent that i should do, or get? Is this truck worth making quicker, as it is already pretty fast but the extended cab or quad cab which i have is a little heavier, but it still gets up and goes. Thanks for any help guys. ---

The exhaust is pretty big on it already i dunno if i need a new one, the current one sounds loud as hell already. ---

They still make chips? I though all PCMs (from 1996+) are EEPROM (RE-flashable)? :gotme: ---

Banks/BullyDog and the rest are all downloaders…not chips. I don’t know if it’s necessarily to make them ‘sporty’, maybe I guess. depends on your point of view. But for my truck a programmer will get you about 3 mpg(real life) in economy mode. So that’s a biggie. But even more you can go from 305HP with 550lb/ft of torque to around 900hp with around the same in torque too. So basically if you’re towing you now have the option of pulling your trailer wheels down or wheels up without much of a difference. It also means when you’re pulling your loaded car hauler up the Warsaw hill and an annoying S40 pulls up behind you trying to drive up your tailpipe right at the bottom…you just drop the pedal and walk him all the way to the top. All the while still getting 16 mpg towing. ---

best mod you could do is trade it for a gmc sierra… kidding how about a blower? those engines should be able to handle a decent amount of boost without too many other mods… cam would be cheap and give you plenty of power as well. ---

i wouldn’t waste my $ making a gas truck fast. it’s going to cost a lot. buy a diesel and throw a couple g’s at it and have gods loads of torque ---

if you have 20" tires go with 4.56 gears. You’ll get better highway mpg as well. ---
