Pretty much country, country rap, some newer rock and some classic rock and a little gangsta rap.
Ive got a little bit of everything on my ipod from Frank Sinatra to Tupac and Mudvayne.

New rappers i like are J. Cole, Wale, Meek Mill. J. Cole and Wale are real intelligent dudes. Cole is Jay-z s guy. Wale is from DC. He has awesome lyrics. Meek mill raps about sellin drugs and shit, im not sure why i listen to him, i think its to offset the slickness of the other two haha

there is plenty of good rap out there still, just don’t expect to find it on regular radio or played in the clubs. most of the mainstream crap is garbage.

In order of preference:
Country, but very little new or pop country bullshit.
Alternative. Open to anything new, really. I listen to eqx all day at work. I listen to a lot of Dinosaur Jr on my podphone. Then a bit of lighter oddball bands so I don’t rage when I drive.
80s/90s soft rock. Fun shit like Simply Red or Hall and Oates.

In order of preference… Pop punk, hardcore (defeater, bane, verse etc), country, classic rock, alternative, rap, and most everything else is whatever.
Things i hate… Emo/screamo, dubstep, musicals.

so is nickleback and justin bieber. popularity != talent.
btw i have nothing against avenge sevenfold, i don’t listen to them but don’t find them to be a bad band, just showing that your logic is flawed. unless all you care about is listening to bands that a lot of other people do, then carry on and enjoy.
