when a person posts a car for sale, and then say person A IMMEDIATELY responds to the thread and makes an offer, which the seller accepts but says he wants to take it to a shop and make sure nothing is wrong with an odd idle
happy joy, car should be sold after said shop inspects it
suppose person b responds to the same thread almost 3 entire days later and inquires about the same vehicle…makes the same offer, and then sends person A a PM saying “sorry, i bought the car fuckoff and die”
seller replies to person A with a PM saying “sorry, person B had first dibs regardless of me already accepting your offer three entire days prior to person B’s acknowledgement of said vehicle”

that sucks, but it unfortunately happens all the time. sounds like he was buying time on a better bid.
