that is your fault for not thoroughly inspecting the car before buying it. how did you miss the cracked and separated framerail? if you buy a 240 without fully inspecting its structural integrity, this is what you end up with. you should’ve known this… and now you do.

HOWEVER

nelly… in your FS description you wrote:

“frame pics will be up soon but it does have a bit of rust on the rails at the front i consider it a 8/10”

does this look like a fucking 8/10 to you?

That is a serious misrepresentation and for that reason you shouldn’t be allowed to sell cars on this site anymore.

there is nothing we can do about this transaction, but there IS something we can do about future transactions. We would be doing a huge disservice to any future members by allowing you the opportunity to do this again.

furthermore, did anyone else catch that Ian and i are pretty much on the same side on this one? i r astounded… wowzors!

issue is pending decision.

Try and take the car back.

Nelly, give him $1850, as you so aptly said he could part it out for that much.

hahahaha try and weld it again

wasn’t there a member on here that tried that with a car with similar rust.

i forgot his username tho

imo, even the metal would be worth more than the car to fix it in this shape…

If he dosn’t refund your money;Get together with other people Nelly has ripped off and sue him.
I’m sure that little shop of his doesn’t pay taxes either.

And is he allowed to run a shop like that in his area? or would it be a bylaw infraction?

It clearly looks like the car was sprayed with a cheap paint to cover up rust and make the buyer think the car was in good condition.
after all who would paint a car that is structurally in that bad of a condition ?

People realize the buyer had his chance to see and look over the car, I dont think thats what everyone is pissed about. Its the fact that you sold a car in that condition. Cars like that are meant for the scrap yard not a quick respray and turn around. Ignorance is no excuse.

i understand what your say
ing but as you guys can see , he descriped that he saw the Floor and rails needed patching.

this was my brothers car and the buyer inspected teh rails better than i did when i gave it a glance under there i didnt see the frame rail was in 2 pieces, i didnt see thoe big holes underneath , neither did the buyer.

so who really is to blame? people get ripped off all the time . im not saying i tried to rip him off , but i guess he got dealt a shitty hand.

and the cars been gone waaaaayyy to long for me to give any kind of refund, the car wasn’t sold with a Warrenty …i dont know of any 240’s that are sold with warranties , not even from a dealership.

Yeah that’s exactly what I was thinking, in the end it comes down to morals. I could have sold my old red 240 that I had but I figured that it wouldn’t be safe for someone else to drive it, so I scrapped it.

In the end, nelly got his money, and the buyer got fucked over. End of story.

And I don’t know if nelly is asian or not, but if he is, good luck on getting your money back.

I think you’d have a greater chance getting in bed with Jessica Alba than you would getting your money back.

I guess you could mount a sub in one of the rust holes and save money on building a box for it.
