i own many piranhas. i hope you know that natts/Reds do best in groups of 3 or more. you can keep a single but it’ll require a tank 29gals+. solitary Piranhas are in the Serrasalmus genus. Pygocentrus do best in groups!

i dont like to feed my fish goldfish.u never know what kind of diseases they might have and can pass on to ur fish.try some smelts u can pick them up at walmart or a place like wooleys.they come with the head cut off already and from seein the pic dont look like he likes heads.start feeding him that for a few months and he will get very big here is 2 pics of my fish when i first got them 5 months ago

where did ya catch it? im gonna be after some this summer in the mon and the yough and hopefully lake arthur and keystone power dam. the state record came outta conneaut in like 1920, 55 inch 54 lb.

I have been feeding him shrimp, talipai (spelling?), and salmon. He goes for the shrimp first. I read the salmon will help bring out the color but he hardly eats that. I think he was undernourished at the store because his belly is bulged from eating so much. He only ate a goldfish head, a small frozen shrimp and one big bite from the talipai and he sat in his log all day afterwards. I just gotta fatten him up. I keep my feeders in a seperate tank to keep them healthy and only plan on using them on occasion. But if mollies are more nutritious I will keep those around instead.

they are a lot better than goldfish! krill works very well for color as well!
