# what to do about the exhaust

K well i got my exhaust fixed a couple of months ago and now it hsa cracked off again due to the half assed jjob that the last guy did. I want to do this my self. My friend has a MIG welder so i wanna see how i could do this for relitivly cheap. Im thinking i could just reweld the two pipes together, they came off mostly because of tension from my pipe smashing into my frame so much. Also what could i do about that everytime i take right turns the piping hits the frame. Should i just put a piece of rubber to hold it in place or what?

Well you could just slip a piece of pipe ofver the 2 ends with 2 clamps and then hang your exhaust properly so it doesn’t hit the frame.

where it broke isnt where it hits though where it hits is near the diff… it hits the frame rails

just by looking at the weld work on the exhaust, OMG.  
Replace the whole damn thing, its garbage.

I would if i could. Just need somthing that would actually hold and to get my exhaust not hitting my frame. The clamp idea it holds the two pieces together well? does exhaust sound like ass after? ive seen clamps used but i donno how good they would be in this situation

find a reducer pipe that slips over the muffler end tightly and the other end then weld it vs using clamps. you can get them at CT with diffrent inside diameter sizes on both ends. Dont just re weld it on as it is that metal looks weak at the edges you’ll burn threw it if your not carefull enough and it will eventually just break again.
