Yeah, and who do they charge? The kid who the OP got it from? The guy before him that said dont ever call me again and hung up? Or the guy before him? The jeep is an 08 and went missing in 08. So it wasnt around that long at all. Id track all previous owners. The guy who said “never calle again” would be first. ---

I sopke to a NYS DMV investgator he thinks its fishy that the state police wont help and neither will the MA DMV. IF a vin plate needs to applied or removed legally the manufacturer OR a state DMV office is supposed to be the ones doing that work. Its a fucked up situation. If i found out that the police nor the dmv would help i would make the kid disappear ---

If this guy lawyers up, he could probably get everything back and then some. Sounds like he has some good evidence against the two prior owners. ---

He has a lawyer i believe. Just everyone saying hes stuck. Maybe theres more to it that isnt known. I just feel bad for the dude, it sucks. ---

Might have to be for both. I would personally tell the kid to call NYS DMV as the car was previously registered to a NYS resident ---
