no joke i got home last night at 2am to rendyx freaking out about downloading doom2 i brushed it off til I realized how fun the old shit was (I haven’t played video games in over a year). there’s this joint called jdoom, it plays all the doom based games (doom2, final doom, original doom, hexen, heretic) and there’s 3d models that go with it, and openGL so you can play it in a decent resolution. it’s not intrusive ruining the original gameplay at all. the most important new addition, networking that actually works. i’ve been tooling with it some of you guys should give it a shot. the WAD files (the original game’s important data file) can be found online all over, if you need help try searching: “index of”+doom2.wad on google. it’s not hard to find, but it is piracy fyi. no big deal if you actually own it, and it is kind of abandonware. so yea, hope you enjoy this little practically-free game. ---
