The 600 ran out of gear. My friend’s GSXR600 ran out at around 155-160 I believe. Newer bikes that rev higher can probably take it to 170+, but I’m guessing that was why he dropped back so quickly.

The race is over when you cross the pre-determined finish line. If no such line exists, then it wasn’t a race.
