Short Version:
Looking for some decorative perforated sheetmetal; something like:

anywhere local I could find this?? Aluminum or steel…
Long Version:
I’m in the process of tearing most of the carpet out of my house and exposing all the original 1940 hardwoods. Along with that, I’m finding all the old heater outlets/inlets, but they’ve been boarded over with 1x6s. I want to make them functional again, but don’t want to spend the $400-$2K for new cast registers. As such I want to build some using the perforated sheetmetal layered, and supported underneath. I’m just looking for suggestions as to whom might have this in stock, or where to get it for a decent price.

“Rigidized Metals” in buffalo for the cooler stuff. For the basic stuff like that Home Depot has small sheets of it.
