# Where is the "Bank 1 Sensor 2" O2 sensor on an 01 sebring.

A coworker needs to replace his O2 sensor before he gets an inspection.
Bank 1 Sensor 2 is bad, but there are 4 of them on that engine.
Anyone know what sensor that is?
2001 sebring.
2.7 V6

probably pre cat, toward cylinders 1,3,5

sensor two is down stream, on a 2.7 it’s not in a terrible place to change. i think there is only one downstream actually b/c the two pipes merge behind the two cats, but i could be wrong, it’s been a while since i worked on one.

I guestimated that it has 1 on each manifold and 1 on each of two cats?
(if it even has two)

I dont really see why it would have 4 O2’s, but im not sure.
Anyways, Bank 1 Sensor 2 is generally the one in, or after the cat.

sebring, wait… is that engine mounted inline like an intrepid or did they shove that in sideways? if it’s a sidewinder, that’ll be an easy change. it’s down in the back behind the cat.

2.7 in a Sebring is transverse, the LH plat is north/south. Bank 1 is the rear and bank 2 is the front, cylinder 1 is on the right rear. You should be looking for the downstream sensor.
