Violator is right, but just to expand on his statement a bit, metal shrinks if you cool it fast, or slow. We cool bearings all the time for aircraft, and if you cool them too fast, you can stress the bearing, but in this case, you want stress to pull that dent out.

The idea behind the rapid cooling for pulling dents is that your pullling heat away from just the dented area, while allowing the rest of the panel to stay its heated size. If you cool the panel too slow, you will reduce the size of the entire panel evenly, and the dent won’t be “pulled” it will just shrink with the surrounding panel.

There is NO liquid CO2 in a air duster can. Why would a paintball or air gun cylinder be thick steel, and an air duster can only be thin sheetmetal. If you put liquid CO2 in a thin walled air duster can, it would explode, and violently. Usually air dusters have low vapor pressure esthers in them. Sometimes even propane (portable airbrush kits use propane, and when you draw alot, you can put your hand on the cold can, and your hand heat will make the stuff boil on the inside). None of the air in a can products that I’ve ever used has air in it, again, takes too much pressure to put any quantity in a small can. Read the can, it tells you that the contents are flammable, clue in that its not CO2. The on on my desk contains 100 percent Difluoroerthane. Not gonna shrink a panel with that stuff, its liqued that rapidly evaporates and cools, when sprayed upside down, but not liquid co2 or nitrogen.

Really? I cannot read? I’m getting 2 or 3 different fucking responses so why don’t you shut the fuck up unless you have something useful to add.
I’m hearing different things from a few different people, so I’m wondering who is correct and who is not.
I read what violator said and what n20junkie said as well as what oasis said, so there are 2 conflicting stories with the outcome of the said question of , if it will work or if it won’t work,

So mister fucking know it all. since there are 2 different answers what do you think???

Hmm a tool? what the fuck part of violator’s post did you not understand
using dry ice is a dumb idea.

Seriously why are you people who have nothing useful to add, posting in here?? I’m trying to find a legitimate solution here, and yeah i might not know as much as you, but the dumbest thing you can do is not ask questions and just assume.

I don’t like to just assume, assumptions lead to fucking things up, hence im asking questions and trying to get the best knowledge possible, so if you want to knock me for trying to learn then go ahead, i hope it makes you feel like a bigger man because i don’t know as much as some others might.

hey man thanks for the support, i mean it sucked because i was going off what you were saying, then off what someone else was saying, then some guy with his panties in a bunch has to go and not even read all of the thread and say something stupid because i don’t know how this stuff works and i want to gain some extra knowledge, so thanks again.

i believe i read somewhere was the dumbest question is the one you don’t ask
