# Where to buy Welding Helmet/Supplies?

I need to get an auto darkening Welding Helmet and some Anti-splatter spray… Anyone know of anywhere to look in the area, preferrably the South or North Hills. Thanks :grouphug:

dont get the auto darkening helmet for the amount of welding your doing not worth agood one. i prefer a normal one with a large window. Grainger you can get a helmet, jackson welding should have them. i know there is a place in carneige that sells all you need.

I wouldn’t mind getting a cheap auto-darkening… I’ve seen cheap ones on harbor frieght and ebay for between 35 - 60 bucks… I know they aren’t the greatest being that price, but I’d prefer auto darkening, I can’t stand the helmet I have now…

i got a cheap autodarkening helmet from harbor frieght. Works ok. Blocked the sensor once and got flashed 🙂

There is a Butler gas near me and a BVWS too. I can check prices at both places if you want. BVWS is only cheap on consumables and Butler gas really only has the gas. But they do have some stock of equipment. Lowes and shit has them too but usually not cheap brands.

The butler gas by me stocks all kinds of equipment and they have several welders on display also. It looks to me like they are big on Linlcon Electirc or whatever its called down here :dunno:

yeah, they typically stock equipement from what I’ve seen but not nearly as much as beaver valley welding supplies. I think the butler gas by me is smaller though. They tend to mostly deal with the gas end of things. Their selection of welders, supplies and even consumables is limited to 1 or 2 choices. But BVWS is an entire store devoted to welding so there is a considerable amount more choice there. Plus the lady that runs the store knows her shit! Just lemme know Sean, I will stop over there and see what they have. I wouldnt mind konwing for myself for when I have the money to get one.

We have bought alot off of these guys. Any thing you need they will help you. If they dont have it, they will get it. If they cant get it they will make it. I buy a bottle of 25/75 sheilding gas a week, two bottles of oxy a month, and misc fuels, and accessories. These guys know what there talking about. Highest reccomendations for this place.
