# Where to get civic shock part?

I just got some koni’s and was planning on putting them on this weekend but am missing a part from the front stock shocks. My car came with kyb’s so i dont have the stockers. I looked at majestic honda and it doesnt look like its something i can get by itself. The part im looking for is circled in the pic. Does anyone know where i can find these or anyone have them laying around?

If I remember correctly, that’s just a little metal ring that sits in the groove. I’ll check my Koni box when I get home from work. I may have something in there from when I installed mine.

pretty sure that is welded ring or tab that holds the struts in place. do you have a picture of your new struts? it should have that on there.

These arent my pics but its the best i could find. I have the same thing.
Heres the part that i dont have. Ive looked around and some people have installed without it. So i guess thats what im gonna do.

how do you install without it when thats what hold your spring in place?

looks like it will be ok. the taper is what keeps the shock from com through the wishbone

what he said…but there should be a collar that goes around the shock. it is adjustable depending on which perch (level/setting) that you would it to be set.

you pound that collar off your stock shocks and put it on the koni if i’m not mistaken. it’s been a while since i’ve done a set.
